ndrea Lee, a rising star on the LPGA Tour, is highlighted by her debut victory at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee won on all levels, not just her college golf experience at Standford University where she earned nine wins and stayed for 17 weeks as #1 Women's Amateur from the World. After winning the Mark H. McCormack Award as the best-ranked Women's Amateur around the globe after the end of the 2019 season, Lee made the switch to professional. Andrea Lee, born 15 August 1998 in Los Angeles. James began teaching his daughter to play golf from the age of five. She first began playing at age 8 in competitions and has won over 50 junior titles over the course of 4 years. She was a finalist in her finals at the US Women's Open 2014 at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad alongside her as caddie. Lee was unable to make cut at the LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee was a member of the US's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. When she joined Stanford University in 2016 she was the highest-ranked athlete in the history of the university in that moment. Over the ensuing three years, she won nine individual titles. Lee left Stanford University and turned pro in the year 2019. Her amateur playing career spans 17 weeks at the top in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award for 2019, after completing the year at the top of the amateur rankings. As an amateur, Lee achieved four holes in one and one albatross. When she made her debut on the LPGA Tour, Lee had two top-10 results. She finished seventh at 2020's AIG Women's Open held at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee won her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. This victory was dedicating to her late grandfather Min. He called me champions, and believed in my potential.
